The increasing popularity of the patio heaters has led to some major concerns and protests by the environmentalists all over the globe because of its burning and releasing of natural gas and propane in order to radiate heat in an instant. The patio heater works by burning the LPG or propane on the burner on top of it and then the flames will be directed against a perforated metal screen. The surface of the screen will radiate the heat around the appliance in a circular pattern. If you are concern about the environment, opt for the chimenea instead. Chimenea is a great alternative to the patio heater for home use since it burns wood instead of gas. Other option includes the electric patio heaters.
The patio heaters mostly come in two ways, either the table top patio heater (free standing patio heater) or the wall mounted patio heater. The table top patio heater is usually smaller in size than the conventional free standing patio heaters which are taller than the height of a normal man. Patio heaters are mostly made of stainless steel so that it will be able to resist the wear and tear as well as the roughness of the outdoor nature. Experts had recommend the use of natural gas for the patio heaters as it is the least expensive fuel, but its professional installation could set you back a few extra cost as an addition to the initial cost charged.
